November 2019 marked the completion of my degree, a milestone that holds a special place in the hearts of many students. For many, the dream of donning this graduation attire remains unfulfilled due to various challenges. But today, I am deeply grateful to Allah for allowing me to live this dream. Wearing this gown fills me with immense pride and happiness.
This day will forever remain etched in my memory, not just because of the achievement, but because I got to reunite with my college friends—friends I may never see again in the same way. Many of them have moved on with their lives; some are married, some came with their children, while others brought their spouses or in-laws. It was a bittersweet realization that life had taken us all in different directions.
Most boys, unfortunately, could not attend, as many had to sacrifice their dreams for the sake of their families. They shouldered responsibilities early, with some working abroad to support their loved ones. On the other hand, it was heartwarming to see so many girls, who, despite the odds, completed their degrees even after marriage, with the support of their husbands.
To all the boys who dreamed of this day but couldn’t attend because of their responsibilities, I pray that Allah keeps you happy and fulfilled. As for me, I am overwhelmed with gratitude to have completed my degree and to have shared this moment with those who made this journey possible.
A special thanks to Nabin Chandra College and all the wonderful teachers who guided us to this day. Among them, the memory of Babli Ma’am holds a special place in my heart. While others were here to witness this day, Babli Ma’am is no longer with us in this world. Her absence was deeply felt, but her teachings and influence will forever remain alive in our hearts.
My heartfelt gratitude also goes out to:
Mortuja Hussain
Sorwar Khan
Bazlur Rahman Khan
Pragati Dutta
Babli Paul
...and every other teacher who shaped our journey.
Thank you all for making this day so special. I will cherish these memories forever. Alhamdulillah for everything! 💜
